Using the Expert Roofer Verified badge
The badge tells homeowners a roofer has passed our checks. These terms keep it meaning exactly that, and nothing more.

The Expert Roofer Verified badge signals that a member has passed the scheme's four checks: identity, insurance, reviews and experience. It verifies credentials. It is not a guarantee of any individual piece of work, and contracts for roofing work are strictly between the homeowner and the member.
1. Who may use the badge
Current verified members only. The right to display the badge starts on the member's verification date and ends on removal from the scheme or non-renewal of membership. Nobody else, including past members and applicants still in checking, may display it.
2. How the badge must be used
- Use the unmodified artwork served from expertroofer.co.uk. No recolouring, cropping, redrawing or additions.
- The badge must always link to the member's own profile page on expertroofer.co.uk, so anyone can check the claim in one click.
- The badge must not be used in a way that implies the scheme endorses any specific piece of work or price. It verifies the business's credentials, nothing else.
3. How the public can verify a badge
A genuine badge always links to a live profile at expertroofer.co.uk/verified/. That link is the whole point: it is how you confirm the claim. If a badge on a website does not link to a live profile, treat the claim as unverified and report it to us at hello@expertroofer.co.uk. We acknowledge reports within 5 working days.
4. Withdrawal of the badge
On suspension, removal or non-renewal, the right to display the badge ends immediately and we may disable the hosted badge artwork so it no longer renders on the former member's site. Misuse of the badge by non-members will be pursued.
5. Trade mark note
The badge artwork and the name Expert Roofer Verified are the property of the scheme operator and are used under licence by members. No ownership or other rights transfer with membership. See the membership terms and membership standards for the full picture.
